CHRONOLOGY OF BOBBY ELLIS. (From Bobby)

After high school graduation in 1966, I attended East Texas State University (ETSU), now Texas A&M University at Commerce (TAMU Commerce).  I was involved all for years in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF).
Stretching back almost 60 years, the friends I met then are still at the core of my life today. Those years in Commerce were very important for my education at all levels: intellectual, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
After graduating in 1970, I was immediately swept away into the U.S. Air Force, became what my Dad called, a “90 day wonder” (a Second Lieutenant), and entered flight training to become a B-52 pilot. My Mom pinned on my wings at graduation in December of 1971 and off to war I went.
At every duty station, I found myself involved in the spiritual growth of servicemen. Jesus came with me to Thailand where we staged our bombing missions over Vietnam.
When the war finally ended in 1973, He flew back with me across the Pacific from Guam to Blytheville AFB in Arkansas. I was subsequently stationed in Texas, Georgia, and Germany, and the Lord came with me to all those locations.
I resigned my commission in 1983 and moved back to Dallas and He was with me then. I got involved in computers and educated myself on using spreadsheets and databases serving in various jobs as an analyst in sales and business. In 2013, after 30 years as a computer analyst, when I was 65, the company I was working for reorganized me into an early retirement.
Jesus was there and continues to be with me even now demonstrating His love and care for me and Jimmy. Now, in 2024 at 76, looking back at my life over the years, I thank God for His steadfast love through it all.
